my Ford eKa. 50mpg aim in winter
I have a Ford Ka. A small euro hatch with an old pushrod 1.3 engine witch originated from the Ford Anglia. Is had a poor cw value of 0.36. And an epa rating of around 32mpg. It weights 890kg. What i already have done is high tire preasure of 3.2bar. I know i can go higher. Also afther painting my plastic bits on the car, i lowered the window wipers on there spindles. Also did i do an upper grillblock and basic hypermiling brought my mpg down to 43 average. Not that bad. But i want it better. Today i did a full lower ducktape grillblock. I want to see what it does with the temps. Also i want rear wheelwell covers. Afther that there will be a partial underbody plate under the engine. Also in my head i see a diffuser in the rear and rear wheel faning. My aim is 50mpg in wintertime. And high 50's in summer. I drive abouth 1200km a week. So i schould get quick and clear average mpg results.
