To the OP, sorry I did not follow this thread more closely. Hydraulic pump motor mounted to the differential. Charge the accumulater when you need to slow down, reuse that energy for future acceleration.

US 7677208, my patend for adrive that would replace the wheel-hub assembly and directly drive the wheel, eleminating the differential.
regen efficiency three times an electric system efficiency, above 83% wheel to wheel.
