A few months ago I stumbled upon what appears to be an abandoned car. I know it's been in the same spot for at least a year, and I suspect 2 years, thanks to satellite imagery. I posted a thread on reddit about it:

Quick summary:
I got a carfax on it. Here's the run down from that:
7 owners... totaled (2007, 45k miles), salvaged (2007 47k), junked (2007), rebuilt (2008 52k), totaled again (2009), oil, filter, and fluids changed 10/2012 @ 92,725 miles. Registration on the license place expired October 2012, that's also the last entry in the report at 92,725 miles. I'm guessing that's when it was abandoned.
After getting the news from the carfax back at the end of August, I decided to give it up. However, I think this would be a fun project car for me since I'll actually have a garage soon. And that little spoiler on the back could be the beginnings of a frame for a WRX kammback (probably would want to swap trunk lids with an
STi to get the wing to really make it work).
Anyway, how would you guys handle such a situation?
