i drive a 2006 malibu ls with 2.2l auto,i got 47.1 mpg's on my best tank of all highway driving! i drove 59mph for 500 miles! the city mileage isn't very good even though i drive using hypermiler techniques! about 25-28 mpgs is all you can get in the city! i have a k&n airfilter, and my tires are at 42lbs out of a max air pressure of 44lbs! i also use sythetic motor oil .the car has a huge trunk! my only complaint about this car is the way the transmission shifts up or down! i usually average about 39-43mpg's on highway driving 59-60mph
