I usually just jack it up at the rear mounting bolt for the front crossmember. That's about the last place where it can rust out, even though rust is not really an issue
here.

Metros may be an exception in the rust belt.

Most rocker panels have a hard point where you jack it up to change tires, close to each end of the rocker panel.

Never jack a light duty Ranger rear axle with a floor jack in the center, you can actually bend the rear axle!
