When the only new Nissan alternator-waterpump-fan belt I ever had brake at the seam on my 76 280Z, 10 miles away from the shop. I used P&G (engine off) to get home without cooking the engine.

With the clutch fan spinning due to airflow and driving the water pump, the temperature gauge reading was actually LOWER after 10 miles that it would have been normally.
