the non turbo diesels are not as efficient as the later tdi engines. That said, the economy so far is on a par with thr mk3 golf td i had previously.

the run above was done at 70mph on tyres with 32psi in them, lights wipers and heater all on

At the end of the day, i went from 35mpg to 52mpg for sub $300, so £ call that a win.

reckon i may see 10% more without too many mods if I'm clever- i believe robchalmers from here ran one so i'll stsrt at his thread
