Yeah, I've had the echoing problem in the past too. I am still using their Defy XT (older phone), and it works just fine. The newer ones have none of the limitations of the Defy XT, and move seamlessly from wifi to cell service (from what the emails say at least).
Also, they use Sprint primarily, but also use Verizon as backup where Sprint isn't available.
Overall, I'm very happy with the service.
