I had a look at the specs and noticed that the CM400DU doesn't have as high a maximum collector temperature dissipation. 960W for the CM400DU compared to 1130W for the CM400DY. It looks like the CM400DU's terminals have less surface area, this may contribute to the poorer temperature dissipation?
Something to keep in mind for those people that haven't yet purchased their IGBT's.
