Here is my xB spec now:
mpg: 39 ~ 39.5 is achievable consistently
mod: upper grill blocked (both grill block will make the fan on all the time in city), 10W30 motor oil, 44psi tires
technique: I do whatever I can do already, like DWL, coasting in neutral (very hard for xB shape, it slows down too quick), engine off @ traffic lights, time the lights, etc.
Commute condition: 90% highway
Goal: 42mpg, 40+mpg consistently
Restriction: no EOC, which will scare away my carpool passengers
no heavy aero mod, I like original look
Any low cost suggestions? Scangauge is on my wish list. However, $150 is quite a lot. If it helps me having 42mpg consistently, it can break even in 8 months, which is reasonable. But, is it possible? It is another ~10% improvement!!
