So now I killed it altogether . . .
I held down the FCD button for a while and it reset. But it appears that it reset not only lifetime mpg, but also the total miles. Where it should show me about 208,000 miles, it reverted back to 0000
Is there any way to fix this? I don't want to just keep pushing buttons and make it worse. Unfortunately I was halfway through this tank so now I have no way of knowing how many miles are on the tank.
In another possibly unrelated incident, right after I reset it I noticed a CEL for the first time since I have owned the car
