The FCD button cannot reset the lifetime MPG and miles. Only the Trip button can reset the lifetime MPG but cannot reset the lifetime miles.

There is 4 separate displays on the FCD, Trip A, Trip B, Lifetime and Segment. To cycle from Segment to Trip A-B and Lifetime you have to press the FCD button. To cycle from Trip A to Trip B to Lifetime you have to press the Trip button while you are not in the segment display.

When you press the FCD button for a long time, it toggles the FCD gauges ON/OFF(average and economy bar graph). If you press the FCD button in the segment display, it only reset the segment trip. You have to press it while you are in Trip A, B or Lifetime. To reset Lifetime MPG you have to press the trip button for a long time in the Lifetime display until it starts to blink, then you push it again a few seconds and it reset, but only the lifetime MPG not the lifetime mileage.
