I'll try it again tonight, I was hoping it wasn't something irreversible I did!

Yeah, that fixed it, I think my trip button is sticky, cause it took me a while to get it to cycle between all the functions. Once it did, I was able to reset the lifetime mpg with no trouble, and to see the total miles again!

The CEL is a throwing a P1457 code, which is something in the evaporative system. I tightened down the gas cap, hopefully it's not a the solenoid or worse . . . .
