I here ya on the tank fails, been there a few times!
My slightly modified Duramax will get decent fuel economy for such a heavy rig. The problem is the only way to do that is to keep the skinny pedal off the floor.
There is nothing like running the 1/4mile track and looking down at the instant MPG reading on the dash and seeing it going between 1-3mph the whole time
