are you sure about over 40 at that speed? I'm just asking because I thought that 4cyl engines start using much much more gas relative to V8s at high speeds
Last night on the way home on I-4 I was in a semi's air pocket most of the trip until pretty close to my exit. At 75 mph on level ground (with a passenger) I was averaging almost 100 mpg behind the truck with about 2K on the tach. I got about 50 mpg after he switched lanes, just long enough to see what I'd actually get before I backed off the throttle. I know the tach jumped a bunch, but I forgot to check to see how high.

I'll probably never know about the 90 mph without an escort, I'm just guessing at the 40 mpg, but I'm sure one of the other Insight owners could verify it or call BS. My car has 209,000 miles on it and I need it to last, lol!
Unless I had a blocker like last night of course. Then I'd probably still get 75 mpg at 90 mph, and probably be at 3K or under.
