Okay so I did some digging and came up with some numbers, for my truck to accelerate to 45mph it requires about 315 LbFt TQ at 1900 rpm or about 170 hp, to maintain this speed about 280 LbFt TQ at 1370 rpm or about 145 hp is needed. This would mean that in order to even maintain my 45mph speed I would essentially need my friend's 1.5L civic engine at more than its max power to keep my truck moving......or did I get this totally wrong? (I used a stock 5.9 magnum dyno chart plus memory of old rpms and speed readouts to try and find out how much power is needed for a given speed.....thats not wrong is it?)
