I had a '67 El Camino with the 325-hp 396 and slushbox.
If I kept it at a steady 55-mph,she could do 18-mpg.
With a 'roof' and small block,low 20s seems real.
My brother's '56 Chevy with 283/4-spd Muncie would see 22-hwy.
