Sorry, been pretty busy with school. Just bought the trans today a 700r4 with 90k miles on it (from the craigslist ad pictured previously) for $400:
old engine (mechanic had to disassemble the block a little so it's easier to pull out, struggling to sell it. It's a 305 with 250k miles on it, although it was rebuilt recently.)

My mechanic has a question about the 4wd vs 2wd transmission. Is the 700r4 a 4wd transmission and it needs the distribution to the front wheels to function properly? (forgot what the part is called haha). Or can the 700r4 only drive the rear wheels without worrying about it not having enough load with the distribution box for the front wheels. I hope I'm making sense lol!
