I totally missed this thread, so I skipped several pages to get here and post.
Forgive me if you answered this already.

What are you main goals ? Do you intend to off-road the vehicle ?

If this is to be a city only vehicle, it seems that the main areas that could use some improvement would be the areas around the wheels and the grille.

( beside the obvious rear of the vehicle, which you don't want to modify ( correct ? )

Personally, I would lower the vehicle, add a grille block, and belly pan and then 'stealth' gap fillers above the wheels. An air dam , and then smooth ( er ) wheels.

That should cut quite a bit of drag off the vehicle and ...actually improve the looks of the vehicle ( I saw a jeep just like yours yesterday that was lowered. I like the look )
