The Palio Weekend had been available in mainland Europe for a while, sourced from Fiat's Brazilian factory, which at the time still didn't make RHD vehicles, starting only in 2007 to supply South Africa when the Fiat Strada production was concentrated in Brazil.

The ones with PSA engines were either the Peugeot version (Boxer, rebadged in Mexico as Manager) and the Citroën version (Jumper, rebadged as Relay in the UK). There was a different 1.9L IDI Fiat engine available for the Ducato.
