I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Keys and had my best scuba diving experience exploring the Vandenberg wreck, but you couldn't pay me enough money to live in a humid flat environment. Just as vivid in my memory is sweating my face off in blue jeans and a tee shirt in October, at midnight, in Orlando.
As much as I want to dislike Hawaii, Kauai weather seemed tolerable despite the high humidity and frequent rain, not to mention was among the most beautiful places I have seen. I'd move there if you want to pay nothing for heating and air conditioning.
I'm amazed by the low cost of living in Oklahoma. I have property in Enid that rents for $400/month including garbage and water service. Once I had a steak dinner at a restaurant and the bill was $8. It would have been twice that here in PDX where 80% of everything is local, organic, sustainable, $$$.
I miss winters. We didn't get one this year and I'm afraid my snow driving skills will deteriorate from non-use. The only other place I could see living is Colorado or Montana. Give me 4 seasons so that I don't take any of them for granted.
