Yes you can get bondo with iron filings in it.
My asking the inspector if I could use duct tape was a a temporary pass to all ow me to drive it home to repair not as a permanent repair.
If a child is injured by my car even if its the kids fault, my insurance will be used, so its the same as driving, the car must be safe period.
