Nice thing about a Sentra is the much lower maintenance costs compared to cars that need timing belts, valve adjustments, and clutches. 3-t belts, 6 valve adjustments and a clutch can add up to thousands for those who do not do those jobs themselves.
They also never lived in the limelight of popularity and owners were generally not agressive drivers. Having a reliable car that is reasonably economical allows the owner to build a cash reserve for an upgrade and maybe even avoid financing, which brings on higher insurance costs.
Basically with decent oil change intervals a 91-99 Sentra should last as long as any other vehicle of that era regardless of manufacturer.
Ecomodding for the economically challenged, even if you aren't.
