I've been loving the new vacuum gauge. Its so much easier to read being right in the gauge cluster.

Last night it was time for more 3d printing though. The shifter linkage on the Metro is a solid beam. Here is a picture of the setup:





Well, that little black piece next to the blue shifter shaft wears out and you get a lot of slop in the shifting mechanism. That is where my car is at right now. I sometimes miss downshifting on hills trying to shift quickly due to this and its generally just not real nice. So, I printed out some new ones with some dimensions I found from other Metro owners making their own out of brass or nylon. Mine are made of ABS, so we'll see how long they'll actually last.

If other Metro owners are interested, making an extra set is no big deal. Just shoot me a PM.
