So I thought I should start giving back and I thought the wiki would be a good place to do that. I don't mean any offense, it just looked a little neglected.

Anyway, I was puruising the recent changes page. If you look, everyday there are a dozen or two peculiar accounts added to the wiki. I don't know if they're added to the forum, but it wouldn't appear that away. They all have a similar format, usually first and last name and a string of five or six numbers. They don't contribute anything to the wiki, and an account isn't necessary to read it.

It seems to me like it's a mild bot attack loading up your mySQL tables.

You could check and see if there is a single or several repetitive ip addresses associated with all of the accounts and ban them. Otherwise, if there's any level of sophistication in the code it switches proxies with every account, which is a more serious issue.

Maybe code a bot to purge dead aaccounts?

Just thought id bring it to someones attention before it becomes any more serious.
