I'm basing my attempt at understanding on this.
A dual-chambered cavity connected by an opening around the central shaft. A moving fluid works it's way through, turning the shaft. Or, alternately, is pumped through by the turning shaft.
Then what, make a Mobiüs Loop of alternating pumps and motors?
