Ain't gonna happen on this tank. I'm expecting about 2 mpg lower at fill-up time.

I've been getting a lot of the bugs sorted out on this tank, though, and driving my wife around with A/C, so we'll see what it looks like in the future. I was kind of expecting my mpg to go up from my first tank, not down, but I wasn't able to use the air with my battery in the state it was in before grid charging it, since it would recal about 10 seconds after switching it on. Where my first tank was basically no air, this one's been around about 20%. I'm still learning some tricks of driving a manual, and some Insight-specific tricks regarding assist/regen, so we'll see.

I still can't see how people are getting trips of 90-100mpg, though. I don't think I've ever gotten anywhere near that. Starting and stopping twice on a ten mile trip pretty much kills that, and usually I'm starting and stopping at least five times on the way to work, 10 or 11 on a bad day. I'm leaving my trip FCD settings as-is through this tank, though, to get a better idea of how far off the mileage is. After this tank, I'll use it to gauge my trips and see what mileage I'm getting. I might also reinstall my Ultra-Gauge, since I've forgotten for about three weeks to put it back in my wife's car and she didn't seem to mind.

I just got some new RE92's put on and filled up to 44psi all around, which is as high as the installer was willing to go. One of them was leaking air pretty bad, and got as low as 27 at one point. Unfortunately, the car doesn't put out enough juice through the 12V DC to fill the tires up that high, so they only get to about 36 before it starts losing pressure when using the Insight's 12V.

Does anyone know if I can wire the compressor up to a 12V wall wart to power it that way? It looks like a car battery's amperage is pretty high, but I'm not sure what it actually pulls through the DC adaptor. I've heard some people say that it'll work, and others say that it won't. I'd rather not just chance it, though I could technically just rewire it to the same/a longer 12V plug. My wife ( strongly ) suggested that I don't, since we share one compressor, but since it really doesn't pump up my tires, anyway, I don't see what it could hurt.
