Once you reach "empty"(you still have 2 or 3 gallons left), drive some more & get the last 2 or 3 gallons of E10 out of the car. Me....I would carry a gallon of E0 in a gas container, drive the gas tank empty, put the E0 in the car, then drive to an E0 station. With completely no E10 in your car, the car should readily show better response. 100% ethanol-free gasoline generally doesn't show lots more power, but your misses & boggings should end & you should notice your gas gauge go down slower. When you calculate mpg(I have for years for both E10 & E0), you will see that only adding 10% ethanol to gasoline, decreases mpg by 8%, 8%, 7% & 5%, depending on the vehicle.
