For years, I reduced the wattage of incandescent bulbs in the house and turned them off whenever possible, I skipped the CF tech era for the most part and just replaced about 2/3rds of the bulbs with LEDs.. I am so happy with the light, whiter and I have upped the light level for a lot less energy. I can actually see and leave several lights on all the time now at a few watts each.
