I had to remove the bolt holding the crank pulley on when I installed a lightweight under-driven pulley on the Acura. The 2 foot breaker bar wasn't even close to breaking that sucker loose. I ended up adding something like 5 ft of pipe to the end of the breaker bar, and standing on it (185 lbs) wasn't enough. Finally, I bounced on the end of the bar and the bolt let loose like an explosion. I feared the worst thinking the bolt had sheered, but to my amazement everything was fine. Of course, I did break 2 sockets before I found one strong enough for that kind of punishment.

Good luck!
