You don't have to go that extreme, standard 600w heater would be sufficient for a 3 cylinder engine.

File fit the rings to each bore. Keeping more air/fuel in the cylinders so it gets burned.
Also keeps fuel and combustion byproducts out of your oil, extending oil changes.
