I need to speed up more and put anchors in the boot to get close to Prius mpg
EDIT: This here
and a massive traffic jam (lost an hour in it) finally got me to Prius MPG for the trip...
As of now I'm
#11 in the
Ecomodder hybrid fleet list, sorted for mpg.
Apart from Planetaires brilliant EV converted Prius, all of the Prius on the list get lower MPG.
That said, I'm driving very moderately.
But I also do shopping trips and the swimming pool run (one very high bridge on the highway, immediately followed by an exit and traffic lights - an absolute mpg killer).
I can easily and consistently beat 60 mpg if I use my wifes car for those (it would even raise her mpg too!) but I want best economy overall, not on average per car.
On Fuelly etc. the 2nd gen Prius and Insight have about the same mpg, never mind the difference in their EPA rating.
