This really doesn't prove or disprove anything.

Let me compare - my journey to work is uphill and I get typically 5-10 MPG less then when I go home again, downhill.

Lets say I think having a Unicorn horn on my car will make an instant MPG difference because of "magic". OK it's a theory.

If I strapped a unicorn horn (sustainably sourced natch) to my car's bonnet for the journey one way and then removed it for the journey back it means nothing.

If I spent a tank with it off, then a tank with it on, and then off again then maybe I'm starting to get something meaningful. More meaningful still would be a closed track or reproducable section of road where I could test the effect repeatedly - maybe 5 times without, 5 with, 5 without.

You've had the A-B-A testing description tapped here loads of times. Do that. Anything else is just wasted electrons.

You could put your travel / MPG log into your own thread though, that would be fine
