Welcome!

I can't stress enough that the first modification is instrumentation. ScanGauge, UltraGauge or just a bluetooth OBD connector going to a phone app like Torque- it doesn't matter. The most important thing for economy is adjusting the nut behind the wheel- all the aero mods in the world can't help you if your right foot isn't using them right.

The good gauges may look expensive, but they pay for themselves fast. A bluetooth connector is pretty cheap and pays for itself even faster- and any of them are going to help any other mods you do have a chance to really help you.

Start a fuel log for the Mazda and keep track, too. Real numbers are always better than what you remember seeing on a display.
