apples to oranges. If i was starting from scratch and didnt already own 5 cars heh...i could buy a shell and swap to my hearts desire. im doing that right now in my 800 dollar still running like a top aspire. its going to have 120hp in a sub 2000 pound body. i can also swap in a jdm 1.5 mazda engine that is variable controlled very close in principle as the toyotas but its hard to get a hold of the full harness and ecus over here. i was trying to do this on a budget and people give away escort gt engines all day long.

anyway some people are in the market for a brand new car with warranty and ipod plug and play toys. my girlfriend wants one because its 'cute and i can hellokitty the hell out of it.' most people on here are not scared to take things apart and tinker but you still must consider the ones who may be sharing a car with a wife/gf and the new set of wheels cannot have ANY downtime at all. some others may be trading in perfectly fine civic coupes and hatches to get a warranty and peace of mind. THe yaris owners definately should have some friendly competition going to see how well that can do with all techniques applied.
