Having had a look at the 65mods page, I'm thinking the following:

Initial checks:
Brakes checked for dragging.
Wheel bearings checked for play.
Check of engine bay for any boost/air leaks
Check of underside panels to see that they are present and secure.

Simple mods:
Full service and shift to 5w40 fully synth Oil.
Replace fuel filter.
Clean out EGR system.
Clean out inlet manifold.
Tyres to 44psi.
Upper front Grille block.
Bulbs to LED/low consumption versions.
Create COLD AIR intake.

Moderate Mods:
Undertray front.
Undertray mid.
Undertray rear.
Heated Fuel Filter(For running VEG).
Insulate block and engine bay for faster warmup.
Turn wheeltrims into moondiskesque covers.
Lowering on new dampers and springs.
Moderate weight reduction where possible.

Should be enough to be getting on with the now..
