I pulled it off with a New Personal Record!

575.9 miles at 56 mpg- and I didn't have to touch my emergency gallon, only pumping 10.284 gallons. It was at the same pump as my last two fills, making the numbers feel even better.

Where the numbers were inaccurate, I'm okay with it:
The UG said 57.7 mpg, the car said 56.3 mpg and the pump said 55.999 mpg.
So while the UG thought I used 9.98 gallons, the pump said 10.284. A difference of less than a third of a gallon over the course of ten gallons is still pretty good- only 3% off despite all the slop from turning it on and off so many times over the course of a week. Less than a third of a gallon over 575 miles makes it sound even closer.

And now thanks to Daox and his 3D printer, I'm going to drastically cut down on that slop, keep the instruments awake for every turn of the wheels and boldly EOC where I've never bothered to EOC before: I hacked my kill switch together over the last couple of days and hope to do a rough install this afternoon.

I think I'm going to be giggling in the car even more than I was right after I did my grille block.
