Well, MetroMPG's labor would be his own time.

Looking up a Prius battery on car-part says ~$500.

So, he'll have maybe $800 (say he ships them) in parts? I'd say that isn't too bad.

Labor is his choice if hes willing to do it or not. Doesn't seem like THAT much work to me. Not much more work than a normal trans replacement. He didn't even have to pull the engine out.
