Cheaper one will fall apart faster. I put 2 on my saturn. 1st was a steel replacement that rusted out in a couple years, second was the more expensive stainless steel replacement and held up better but still needed to be replaced if I had kept the car. Either way you look at it I needed to buy 2 mufflers for a car I drove for 110k miles and needed a 3rd. My experience is buy the cheap one and plan to replace it often because the expensive one is not going to last long enough to warrant the extra cost.
