A glasspack will work fine and wont be too loud if you are sure to install about 18-24 inches of pipe behind the unit. The reason "fart cans" are so loud is that they don't have enough pipe behind them to smooth the raspiness of the larger diameter. Think of a trumpet... it quickly transitions from a small diameter to a large diameter.
