No offense taken.

Sure flow style was considered, but the higher amp draw , larger size and higher cost made me go with the super cheap centrifical. I countered the low head pressure by going to 6 parallel paths for the top with an additional 6 parallel paths for the seat. I used some garden hose to irrigation adapters that I got at lowes, they were 6 port each , so I had a T on both sides of of the pump out to these cheap adapters with barbs that worked perfectly with the soft silicone tube.

Push connect may have worked for the full flow lines, but they have a few drawbacks mainly involving not sealing at low psi and not working at all with soft tubing both of which I used. Potentially if a sure flow were used you could reduce the number of paths and shark bite would work, however I've never seen any small enough for aquarium tubing, smallest I know of is 1/4 OD that I used for my bypass oil return and that leaked everyplace. That said, all of the same fittings on the high pressure side held up fine as do the half dozen or so on the high pressure side of my water injection setup.

As a project update, it worked fantastic, I wish I had some thermal capacity, I couldn't leave the A/C off very long which as kind of the point. Geico hauled it away with the rest of the car after I got rear ended by a hit and run obviously drunk driver.
I'd like to do it again on either of my new TDI's, but unfortunately I'm to darn busy.
