Makes sense the Vixen would be a bit better, it has a gentle taper at the rear, not just a radius like the GMC (or Airstream).
Oh yeah, not sure if John Delorean worked on the GMC but, Bill Collins, the creator of the Vixen, did work for Delorean.

One article on the GMC mentioned six different design teams involved during the gestation.
