I think that Joan is committed to the rear driver layout which makes use of the AST problematic.It would really require a head first,supine driver orientation to allow the major thickness at 33% body length.
With the existing chassis,I think we're looking at a Granville Brother's Gee Bee R-2 fuselage to wrap the body/driver.
