My mom encourages my hypermiling, always has. Thinks it's 'silly' but in her words I can't argue with the gas savings'.
My dad on the other hand is a different story. He thinks it's 'stupid' and a 'waste of time and effort'. When I remind him that he gets 25-27mpg in his '04 corolla, and I get 68-70 in my insight, he shuts up.
The boyfriend doesn't care in the winter, but in the summer I must run the A/C. Doesn't bother me, getting less mpg to make him happy is worth it anyway
