CRX HF, D15B2, plans for D15Z1

Thought I should finally introduce myself now that I've been stalking this site for the better part of 6 mo.

I am from Kansas, work as an aerospace structural engineer and fly Blackhawks for the Army National Guard.

After trading in my 06 Corvette for a prius c back in 2013 I have become fairly obsessive about mpg. I drove the prius modestly and was able to achieve 49.8mpg I've the course of 58,000 miles. After deciding I didn't like the batteries and experiencing a family member having to replace theirs, and wanting to back into a standard transmission I did some research and finally found a 1991 CRX HF in Austin TX. We made the 8 hour drive to pick it up and I haven't looked back since.

Work to the CRX has been extremely enjoyable. This is what I have done so far:

New carpet, corbeau seats, driver door upolstery, window tint
Guages: vacuum, volts, and still working on oil press, oil temp, water temp
Flushed ALL fluids as the PO didn't know the age of the engine or when anything had been changed.
Front right fender replaced, the old one had signs of previous accident and found used front bumper but haven't fitted it up or installed it yet.

This morning I bought a 208k mi d15z1 and vx rims. After hearing how much of a difference the z1 makes I have been searching for one to mate up with my fed hf transmission. As I am currently able to get about 41-45mpg with current tires and d15b2.

Well, I'll leave it at that for now and try to get some pics up of the Rex
