So far my battery is holding up okay, with the occasional recals. It's the second battery in the car in 117K miles, so I have to agree that the battery technology in these cars is expensively underwhelming, and I'm sure the hot weather here in central Florida doesn't help the cause.
Love the car though, even with all the faults that come with a fifteen year old DD! It's definitely the perfect commuter car for my wife and myself, and it brought back the joy of driving to my same old commute of many, many years.
