Mike, I just made an interesting discovery on my '05 ZX3. There is about a 1/4" gap between the top of the grille and the lip of the hood. Air flowing here passes over a plastic shield, bypassing the radiator and directly into the engine bay. A rubber strip here, with a gap for the hood latch mechanism, should help warm-up times. Maybe not concern for you until winter, but should help then. I haven't tried it yet, but will soon.
