My gap requirements isn't the same as yers are fer aerodynamics but mine was fer minimizing water intrusion between the cab and aero cap. As far as aerodynamics are involved, I'm not sure it makes a big difference in my application. My front access doors/gap covers are mainly fer access to my cab cover. I can say they are working quite well at keeping water intrusion to a minimum.
