Though the Prius can be considered an icon, almost as much as the Ford Model T and the VW Beetle, maybe it would make more sense to just let it go instead of ruining its design, as its initial purpose of increasing the popularity of hybrid drivelines is already accomplished.

The only limiting factor against the 1st-gen Insight for most folks being the seating limited to 2, maybe fitting 2 or 3 jump-seats for occasional usage at its rear compartment would be likely to suffice.
