92 Vs 96 Metro 1.0L Differences? Should I swap?

My engine recently died on me (it has over 300,000 miles / 500,000 km) and I'm looking to do a rebuild on a lower km engine to put into it. (Is that the right decision to begin with, or should I just rebuild my high mileage engine?)

Anyway, talked to wrecker and he says he doesn't have any of my year range in, which I think is 89-94, but he's got a 1.0L from the 96, but it shows up as being a different model. How interchangeable are these (what else would I need to change?) and do they work out to be more/less efficient? I've been browsing around for info. on this, and I'm sure someone's done it and has details, but I just haven't been able to find anything.

Any help appreciated!
